A note on
Cambodia

Whilst we have not been able to visit out projects this year, the local communities have still been working hard to develop their new homes and communities.

C4C’s project in Prek Trob, Cambodia, with our partner Habitat for Humanity, is continuing to flourish during these times, with only a short break due to Covid-19. So far eight homes have been able to be completed for those considered most vulnerable as well as repairs and upgrades on existing structures.

The project has included work on the hygiene and sanitation conditions of the community through training, as well as the construction of 19 toilets in the last year.

We are so happy that the community in Prek Trob can start enjoying their new homes and facilities even if we are not currently able to visit and help with the construction.

Ms. Nouv Sun (pictured) , a 76-year-old grandmother is one of the many who recently moved into her new home and her words are a true testament to the work that is being done in Prek Trob.

I used to dream of a new house when I was around 35 years old, but I cannot afford to build one until now I am 76 years old, it is the last stage of my life. I am happy now. My family members, especially my grandchildren and child can now sleep well, and have a decent place for learning too. My new house is the most beautiful house that could withstand disaster. I always sit in front of my house embracing its beauty every morning.
